Post War

From small British family run-abouts to huge V8-engined American sedans rarely seen on the roads of Britain. Sports cars, continental rarities, ton up café racers and those homely cars that were once so familiar to us, perhaps reminding us of our early years as drivers or squabbling teenage passengers – Kop Hill Climb has them all.

We are certainly not posh or elitist. We get as much pleasure from seeing cars and bikes that top the lists in the best auctions as we do the kind of bikes we saw every day many decades ago. Judging by the comments we get, Kop Hill Climb seems to have got it just about right. It’s a real mix of machinery that heads to the hills every year to be seen and appreciated by our often surprisingly knowlegable 16,000 spectators. On Kop Hill we love to group and run vehicles of the same era together, so booking early to get your space in the paddock reserved really helps.

New or old, fast or slow our course is fully marshalled and hill runners can choose to return back to the paddock either via a signposted route through the countryside or face yet more waving appreciative crowds via the town of Princes Risborough itself.
Passengers, and indeed for some drivers their dogs as well, are positively encouraged – which certainly wasn’t the case in those racing days back in 1910!
